Bristol Sanatu Lakshas, a mixed-Inupiaq multi-disciplinary artist, was born and raised throughout southern Alaska. She comes from the Pelagio and Smith-Ahvakana families of the North Slope (Shishmaref & Utqiaġvik), her aana, aaka, and akkaaka cultivated in her a deep appreciation for traditional and modern art forms, including sewing, painting, fibercraft, beadwork, sculpture, and graphic arts. Her heritage, familial bonds, and profound connection to her homeland are central themes in both her personal and professional artistic expressions. As the first in her immediate family to graduate college, she pursued her passion for Digital Art and Animation at Digipen Institute of Technology. This education paved the way for her career in video game development, where she has contributed her skills as a Technical Artist and VFX Artist to titles such as ARK: Survival Evolved, Techtonica, and Never Alone 2. Sanatu now resides in Sequim WA, along with her partner, Olivia, and their three pets.
