Andrea Mina Savar has been a working artist in the mediums of jewelry, painting, fiction writing and textile art/clothing. Inspired by the natural world, leaves, flowers and creatures of all kinds tend to wiggle their way into her art. As a mother of a small child, traditional Cherokee stories and language preservation have become increasingly important and present in her every day family life as well as in her creative works. She owns a boutique/gallery in the Seattle area with her husband called The Curious Nest. She is an award winning artist including a recent 2nd place award in the Diverse category for her miniature beadwork bandolier bag at the 54th Annual Trail of Tears Art Show in Tahlequah, OK.
