Dune Grass - a view from Pierce Stocking Drive, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan. These mounds are found at the top of dunes at Turnout #9. The sandy bulkheads are­­ anchored by overlying dune grass. Their flanks are carved by wind and weather into a series of smooth masses set against a bright blue sky.
