Esperanca

This plant was growing in a planter on the terrace of a museum in Lima, Peru.
"Esperanca" basically means "hope/expectancy" in Portuguese. Spanish is the official language in Peru, but there were periods of time where Portugal was an influence in colonization. And on this day, our very first in Peru...we were quite excited about what we were going to see on this trip.
