Artist: Tom Ryan
I have painted for many years and participated in several shows, lectured, and demonstrated watercolor painting, and judged art competitions. I have taught beginning and intermediate
watercolor classes at Saratoga Arts for many years and have led watercolor workshops in many other locations. I was awarded signature membership in the North East Watercolor Society and am past president of the Upper Hudson Valley Watercolor Society. Currently, with Sue Beadle, I am co-leader of a regional plein air painters group, Plein Air Adirondack.
I have received numerous awards for my watercolors including being juried into the highly competitive 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 North East Watercolor Society Annual International Exhibitions and 25th Annual Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors at The Art Center, Old Forge, New York. My works are in many corporate and private collections around the world.
When acquiring new art, Hudson Headwaters seeks pieces that contribute to the ongoing creative culture of our community. Local and regional artists are always given first consideration.
