Painting is a way for me to tell a story and evoke an emotion. My brush is my tool to create and I love when people tell me that they see different things in my paintings and now easily can recognize my style. I have been painting watercolors for decades but it took me awhile to develop my own technique and style which is primarily wet on wet. I recently retired from a career as a hospital based registered nurse and am now focusing on my real passion which is creating art. I have two children and three grandchildren and a beautiful daughter-in-law who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 28. Her strength is my inspiration and my decision to move to this area.
When acquiring new art, Hudson Headwaters seeks pieces that contribute to the ongoing creative culture of our community. Local and regional artists are always given first consideration.
