Artist: Bob Fisher
Bob Fisher’s photography career grew out of his passion for astronomy which began in childhood when he first visited the Adirondacks. He has been a frequent guide to the night sky and a Huntington Lecturer at the Adirondack Interpretive Center in Newcomb, where his work is on permanent display. Branching out from astro-photography to flowers and a variety of other landscape subjects, Fisher was an award-winner at LARAC and in the North Country Arts Photography Show. He has exhibited in numerous open and juried shows, including two juried shows at the Paul Nigra Arts Center in Gloversville. His images have been featured in Adirondack Life, Adirondack Almanac, Wildflower Magazine, on Spaceweather.com and in the international literary journal Switched-on Gutenberg. He takes photos every day and many evenings year-round near his log cabin on Trout Brook in Olmstedville, Essex County, NY.
When acquiring new art, Hudson Headwaters seeks pieces that contribute to the ongoing creative culture of our community. Local and regional artists are always given first consideration.
