I have lived in the Hudson River watershed for most of my life. Before that, I had the luxury of living in many beautiful parts of the country—Chicago, Southern California and the lovely east coast, where I remain and find it to be a sanctuary of peace.
I have always been a visually centric soul—a person who takes the moment and disappears in it, never giving time to anything but what I love the most, looking forward and having a personal conversation about it.
I got serious about how I would be a productive human being and studied with some very notable artists in the Albany area while attending the College of Saint Rose. I was hired as an art teacher in various local schools and painted my way into retirement.
Most of the work exhibited represents painting on location or what is called “en plein air” painting. I am truly hooked on the challenge of this painting style and love being driven by my surroundings.
When acquiring new art, Hudson Headwaters seeks pieces that contribute to the ongoing creative culture of our community. Local and regional artists are always given first consideration.
