This is part of the HCCC Foundation Art Collection Heritage collection, celebrating our local heritage. The teacher in this photograph (c. 1945) is alleged to be Elinor Victoria Fuerst, co-author of Fundamentals of Nursing, one of the major 20th century nursing textbooks. This image and many others from the Hudson County Community College -- CarePoint School of Nursing history are on permanent display in the Cundari Building, 870 Bergen conference room (119). The exhibit features historic photographs related to the nursing school from the late 1800s to the present.
