From The Shadow Series

These paintings were inspired by shapes that I drew from shadows of tropical plants I have on my property in Costa Rica. The abstract compositions on paper are painted with gouache using soft Southwestern inspired colors. The pieces on canvas are painted with oil paints with a similar palette.
