I spend 3 months a year on the Coast of Costa Rica where i have access to beautiful tropical fauna. These are seed pods that have been gathered and brought back to my studio.  The pods concave spaces are filled with thickened pastel color paint and small wooden reeds have been inserted into the paint.  The objects are similar but all unique and read as sculptural piece when arranged in rows and mounted on the wall.  The essence of inspiration is the colors and forms I experience in Costa Rica.
