Inspired Lines
This installation was part of a Fiber art invitational exhibit at the Delaware Art Museum. This piece is made of small stitched collages arranged in a line drawing that moves across the wall. The inspiration for the shape of the drawing comes from primitive art sources that are reoccurring in my work. The entire piece is outline in white buttons which establishes the labor intensive quality of the piece as well as accenting the darker collages pieces. The small dark pieces are dipped in wax which gives them a sense of weight and richness.
