In January 2025, I set out to build a 12’ canoe entirely from paper. Using a sassafras wood canoe that I had made from a CNC kit in my Brooklyn apartment, but this one was created in NM, I glued over 12 layers of linoleum block-printed paper, cyanotypes, and silkscreen, primarily using a 24” moth image over the base. After drying completely, I removed the paper canoe and finished it with mahogany decks. The photos here are from an installation at Hecho a Mano Gallery, Santa Fe, NM.
