ARTIST STATEMENT:
During an artist retreat, I was drawn to the detritus left behind. Much of my art practice celebrates the everyday, transforming ordinary objects and moments into the extraordinary. As an artist, I like to bring attention to the overlooked and elevate it to the sacred, inviting others to observe, reconsider, and rediscover the world around them. For this collage, I was inspired to celebrate the found materials using embroidery.
