The Privilege to Have a Place to Work

I am so grateful for the existence of my studio. When I resigned a tenured professorship to move back to Madison in 2000 to work for UW System I committed to building a small studio in our back yard. I have never regretted that investment in my art and my creative life. After I retired to full time art in 2018 my studio became the center of my career. The pandemic only deepened my gratitude and sense of privilege that I was able to create this beautiful space.
