This is a limited edition print of an original watercolor painting that is from a series honoring the endangered and threatened plants, forbs and related species of the American Prairies. Today, fewer than 40 percent of what was once 550 million acres of North American grasslands remain. As I learn more and more about these rich ecosystems they make their way into my paintings as subject and metaphor.
