My representation of stardust as a person. I’ve been deeply studying the zodiacs, expanding my knowledge of each one. As I add to my knowledge, I’ve been really trying to get the art not only beautiful, but as accurate as possible to each one’s characteristics. I’ve always been intrigued by the stars and the ancient beliefs, another fascination that I picked up as a child. Aquarius, the 11th Zodiac sign, and the second painting in my zodiac collection. It is the last Air sign (or element) of three, after, Gemini and Libra. Its Symbol is that of the water bearer, or cup- carrier. This is believed to be because it rose during the rainy season of the Hemisphere. It is one of the oldest constellations of the zodiac, with planets ruling in Saturn and Uranus. People born under Aquarius are thought to be intelligent and unpredictable souls. They are forward thinkers that don’t express their anger like others; they take everything very personally, and fear being viewed as illogical. They master holding the upper hand, and do so by dealing with their emotions through deflection, sarcasm and/or condescension. Aquarians are progressive humanitarians with very innovative ideas and skills. An attempt to characterize them, would be to call them unique, often eccentric, but, always putting great thought into everything. This makes them agile problem solvers, who think outside the box and simplify things. As problem solvers, they often push out of their comfort zones, and quite possibly many boundaries. They are in their element when being by themselves, or when they’re working independently. They are a rational soul, but are not very strong at sharing (or showing) their own emotions. Their strong sense of self gives them a unique look at others and the world around them. Their perspectives and yearnings draw them to be an active part in fighting injustice, and trying to make the world a better place. Aquarians are very creative and are attracted to the creative world. They make fantastic friends, but they prefer (and thrive) with creative, like minded people. Otherwise, Aquarian’s won’t bother with you. They’re happy enough with themselves.
