The feelings of a runners high are real. For a short time after just the right length and intensity a burst of happiness, release of stress and an extra energy level is felt. It is the ultimate end to a run worked so hard for. The process to get there is hard work, dedication and persistence. The results are very much worth it.
Just as life gives us hills to climb, making the conscious choice to run them makes us better. Choose your hills wisely, but don’t skip them. Everyone should have a mix of hill days in their life. Beginners or seasoned, take them with the stride you want to be.
