The koi are an ancient species of fish. They have been part of Asian cultures for thousands of years. According to folklore, the koi symbolizes success and overcoming obstacles. Some cultures believe the koi will bring infinite happiness and joy. Turning negative situations into the positive. Koi also represents familial loyalty and bonds of friendship because they rely on each other for survival against strong currents. Legend says the koi were recognized by the gods for their determination and bravery after they made tremendous efforts to swim upstream, and conquer the waterfall. They were rewarded and transformed into a dragon, leaving their water world for new existence with the heavens.
