Acrylic paint with a layer of iron ore makes darker areas sparkle slightly, as if frosty.
We are far from anywhere, looking through the trees at a city.
This is a memory from my hitchhiking days in Britain, but strangely enough, echoes the view from my current home.
Granular ilmenite (iron ore) is black, but sparkles slightly in direct light. It is a favorite material, and works well with acrylic paint.
