By abstracting garment pattern shapes widely used in the fashion industry today, the piece questions the ways we contort, manipulate, and abuse our bodies forcing them into modern shapewear. The work draws attention to the reality women are faced with on the rack, in fitting rooms, and in our own closets-the forcing of our bodies into uncomfortable shapes and artificial silhouettes.
