The inspiration for this piece is a ebony sculpture of a bird I fell in love with at the gift shop at Brakenhurst Conference Center in Limuru, Kenya. I was sent to purchase a gift for our fabulous guest lecturers, Sherwood and Judith Lingenfelter. This bird wanted to come home with me and I have enjoyed it ever since.
