A friend asked if I ever painted Frangipanis. I enjoyed them immensely while living in Africa and thought it was a great idea. Little did I know that she and her sister shared a love for these happy flowers, to the point her sister brought back twigs of it from the tropics to the US and grew them in her yard. This painting became a birthday gift pillow from one frangipani-loving sister to another!
