I snapped a photo of Sara in my store with the intention of making a painting of her. I love to read and reading sweeps you away into a different world. I wanted the abstract background represent that feeling. Viva is actually a magazine rather then a book. I do not think it is around anymore but it used to be one of my favorites as a young adult while living in the Netherlands. I used stamps, and glittery watercolours in the background.
