"I am an energetic, conscientious, and interested teacher. I believe in searching for new methods and experiences in order to give the student an up to date view of the art world. My goal is to challenge and inspire my students to learn the information and techniques that will help them to be successful. I am constantly looking for new ways of instructing the basic technical information that must be learned, and at the same time stay flexible enough to work with a variety of different types of learners. I also feel that it is the responsibility of the instructor, in whatever classroom situation he is involved with, to aid the student in achieving a greater objective awareness, development of subjective freedom and a formulation of a visual language." -Steve Dudek

The Hadley Foundation Collection contains over 10 of his unique pieces. Dudek passed away in 2019 but left his mark on the hearts and minds of countless students during his forty-year career as an art instructor at Barton Community College.
