"A deep love of the natural world is at the center of my artwork. The source of my inspiration is not the grandiose, which I find difficult to comprehend. I prefer instead to deal with a small and intimate world. At my leisure, I can examine and re-examine an endless supply of intricate and ever-changing organic forms. These small wonders give me much joy and feed my artistic imagination." -Jane Slimon Slimon attended the University of Kansas and Emporia State University. She went on to teach but has since retired.
