Kinetic Beaks: Exploring Rhynchokinesis in Shorebirds
- Digital (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
- Brittany Cheung
Some birds can not only move but also bend the upper beak (rhynchokinesis). This infographic teaches a lay audience about the different types of rhynchokinesis, using shorebirds as an example of how this ability confers evolutionary advantages. Created in collaboration with Shehryar (Shay) Saharan.
