Tiger Beetle Vest (2-ply wool), designed by me. Featuring brown-toned beetle motifs, this piece, titled "Fading from the Landscape," honors the federally endangered Salt Creek tiger beetle, an endemic Nebraska species. Created to highlight declining insect populations, it was designed for a scientific symposium at an entomology meeting focused on research and public outreach to save the beetle from extinction. Displayed in a small art exhibit, it complemented discussions on the beetleās conservation and unique habitat.
