African Moon Moth (Argema mimosae) is a giant silk moth found in Eastern and South Africa. The coloration and eye marks on the forewings create camouflage to appear as a piece of foliage with long hindwings to resemble a dried leaf stem, further aiding in camouflage from predators. They have a wingspan of 10 - 12 cm (3.9 - 4.7 cm) across and 12 - 14 cm (4.7 - 5.5 in) from head to tip of the long tail-like hindwings.
