Spotted Hyena
- Colored Pencil on Duralar, laid out in Photoshop
- Each individual physical drawing is 14x17. This infographic exists in digital format only and can be printed at any size; its dimensional ratio is roughly 1:2.
- Hannah Cohen
This infographic features diagrams of a spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) depicting the animal's skeletal and muscular systems, as well as its external body. The original drawings were made in colored pencil on translucent Duralar, so that they could be physically stacked over each other; this is clearly visible in the drawing of the muscular system, which was physically laid over the drawing of the skeletal system. Spotted hyenas, being one of only a few extant members of the family Hyaenidae, have fairly unique physiology; these drawings are meant to highlight that.
