The Australasian Bittern in an Endangered species found in Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. This project highlights the uniqueness of the species life history and also incorporates a sound module that replicates the birds 'boom calls'. The project was funded by the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority to raise awareness of the plight of this species and help familiarize the public to the bird vocalizations.
