Enhydra lutris kenyoni, Ancestor Dreamings
- colored ink wash, quill pen and ink, colored pencil

A Northern Sea Otter ancestor dreams of its descendants returning home. Sea otters are keystone species who manage kelp forest health by eating sea urchins and other ocean floor grazers that decimate them. Kelp forests with thriving sea otter populations capture more than 10 times the carbon dioxide than kelp forests without sea otters and healthy kelp forests protect shorelines from erosion while enhancing the biodiversity of local species.
