Deinonychus antirrhopus

Deinonychus antirrhopus, an early Cretaceous predatory bird like dinosaur, used its distinctive sickle like claw to pin its prey. Fossil evidence indicates avian style feathers covered its body, and it is currently considered one of the closest non-bird ancestors of modern birds.
