My goal was to visually strip away the soil media and provide an unobstructed look into a sphere-shaped sample of beneficial microfauna, all swirling around fungus-enhanced root tips. I made up for the shortcomings of optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy by combining the “best of both worlds” in my drawing: depth and opacity, plus color and transparency.
