The Common Pitcher Plant (Nepenthes ventricosa) is a tropical carnivorous plant native to the highlands of the Philippines, but can grow under a number of conditions. It is the largest of all carnivorous plants and is made up of a modified carnivorous leaf, a pitfall trap, and a pitcher filled with digestive fluid. While it's methods are passive, this pitcher plant can catch more prey than any other carnivorous plant.
