Sara McCormick is a Richmond, Virginia based artist who has been drawing since she could hold a crayon. She received her degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Communication Arts with a concentration in Scientific Illustration, and a minor in Biology.
Sara’s passion is nature, science, and teaching through the use of art. What motivates her the most is a learning disability that now inspires her to create art for other visual learners. She creates illustrations using a variety of mediums ranging from digital to watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, and oil pastel.
Sara has been a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators since 2021. She is also an artist volunteer with the Memory Project since 2016.
