Josh Zupan is an Artist, Scientific Illustrator, and Naturalist. He has a particular interest in entomology and botany, spurred on by a passion for learning anything and everything about the natural world.
Zupan received two degrees during his studies at UC Santa Cruz, a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a B.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis on printmaking. He is a current a student in CSU Monterey Bay's Science Illustration Graduate Program where he is completing the program's summer internship requirement working with the Jepson Herbarium at UC Berkeley and Tahoe Environmental Research Center. In addition to his academic pursuits, Zupan works as a Field Botany Technician where he collects botanical and soils data in California and Nevada.
Zupan has a love for exploring outdoors and learning from the ecosystems around us - something he strives to share with others through art and science communications.
