I'm Amelia, a multidisciplinary artist living in rural Wisconsin (but hoping to move back to the PNW soon). I work as the senior designer for the editorial team at Grist.org, an environment and climate focused nonprofit news organization. I completed my certificate in natural science illustration from the University of Washington-Seattle in 2020, right at the beginning of the pandemic. Recently I was lucky enough to put my science illustration skills to use at my job for an article on infectious diseases that will become more common due to climate change, and I'm hoping to do more professional science illustration in the future.
