The BLM Children’s book “Tori Tortoise Turns 100†has been designated by the State of Arizona Historical Advisory Commission as an official Arizona Centennial Legacy Project, as commissioned by the Arizona Legislature. The book is available as a download, and at your local library.
About the Artist: Rachel Ivanyi, AFC x
Rachel Ivanyi is a freelance illustrator who works on a variety of natural history subjects. Trained as a zoologist and scientific illustrator, she has long been drawn to the minute variations that separate one species from another and much of her work reflects this. Her style ranges from highly detailed scientific renderings to more whimsical illustration, in a variety of traditional and digital media.
