Infographic created for MBARI describing environmental DNA analysis—new technology that can be used to remotely monitor the presence of endangered or invasive species in aquatic habitats, such as native fish (coho salmon, steelhead trout), non-native fish (striped bass), and non-native mud snails. Samples are analyzed onsite or in a lab. Hands are included for size references. A map shows a future network.
