Heather Stearns has been doing nature journaling since 2018, although her fascination with journaling has been lifelong. An avid hiker, plant aficionado, and enthusiastic learner, Heather has been sharing her creative passions and teaching others to reconnect with their creativity for many years. She seeks to promote knowledge and appreciation of the natural world through the arts, Christian stewardship of resources, and eventually, reintegration of the arts and nature in education through hands-on experiences.
She is a current member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, the Washington Art Education Association, and the Washington Native Plant Society.
