Arctostaphylos manzanita ssp. laevigata (Contra Costa Manzanita)

Contra Costa Manzanita is a rare native shrub that grows in Central California, primarily in the North Coast, the North Coast Range and SF Bay regions. It tends to grow in slopes and rocky places, at elevations from 0-4900 feet.

It is ranked within the California Rare Plant Rank as 1B: Plants rare, threatened, or endangered in California and elsewhere.
