Vishnu is represented with a human body, usually with blue colored skin and four arms. His hands carry four objects in them: the conch: the sound this produces is Om, which represents the sound of creation; the chakra, or discus, which symbolizes the mind; the lotus flower, which is an example of glorious existence and liberation; and the mace, which represents mental and physical strength.
