Hindu Prayer Book in Sanskirt. Circa 1800-1850 with color miniatures. 17 x 110 cm. Text run top to bottom the long way with pages that are 17 x 8 cm. There are 26 of these pages (counting both sides of the sheet) and 4 small half-pages at the ends. There are five color miniatures approximately 4.5 x 7 cm in size. Paper is heavy yellow hand-made sheet. A handwritten note by M.S. Caruthers says "John Mayo bought this in Kathmandu, Nepal [in 1985]."
