Zoomorphic jade figurine of Hongshan (4700 – 2900 BCE) culture. Creature is coiled into circle and is a variation of pig-dragon motif symbolic of fertility and wealth common to the time period. Almond eyes, suggesting male creature, with protruding snout adorn face. Hole drilled into top of figurine to string as pendant.
