Zoomorphic jade figurine from Hongshan culture (4700 – 2900 BCE). Creature is variation on pig-dragon motif symbolizing wealth and fertility. Face is symmetrical with two eyes and two brows over a mouth cut into c-shape of sculpture. Hole punctures just below mouth through to center and through other side to top of head. Hole for stringing object punctures nape of neck. Stone is brown with sparing speckles of pale teal.
