Growing up I enjoyed fishing. In most of the places I lived, there was not much else to do. Just like painting, it is usually a solo event. This painting honors all the fish that got away.
The canvas includes a baseball cap, which is appropriate as it's common fishing attire.
This work is a continuation of the 13 small canvases I built last year. A number of these works have had an animal theme which is purely unintentional but the all have been highly satisfying.
