This is the third of the thirteen smaller works I started in 2022. It includes one of my dress shirts and one of my wife’s lacy polka-dotted panties. After taping off and splashing paint on the canvas I began to see an eye looking back at me. That was the jumping point for the subject. I see it as the center of a storm with the eye being the calmest element. I enjoy working with contrasting opposites, abstract and subjective, chaos and control, all things that are present in all of our lives. To survive, we’re all challenged with finding our eye in the storm.
