The Mashed Potato Dancer is based on the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre's "Dancing Collage Kit", which I modified to better fit my 5"x7" frame. I also added a magnetic helmet and goggles with plastic googly eyes (not shown), which was fun to figure out... and yes, they snap right on! This piece was based on showing all of the mechanics "above the wood frame", but I plan to do the next iteration to include most elements "behind the frame" to see how it compares. The Potato man does sit quite a bit above, when you add the gears and pieces, so it will be interesting to see how the other one turns out!
