Do you ever look closely at trees; I am talking about really closely?
If you stand in the woods painting a tree it almost seems to talk to you.
An early gray morning I was alone painting at the edge of our property where these massive trees had grown together. All a sudden in this washed out gray area in late winter I could see the early life of spring coming. The trees in the background had shades of pinkish gray and the mighty oak showed pinks, touches of green with a dark contrast of light. The sage grass between the back trees and the oak screamed for attention. As I stood for hours in the windy cold, painting on location there was an overwhelming sense of peace and love. Sometimes you may feel alone but you are never really alone in this world.
